FIELD: polymer materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiation chemistry of polymers, in particular to radiochemical method for preparation of hydrogels containing immobilized dicyclohexane-substituted crown ethers, which can be used as sorbents, membranes, etc. for binding metal cations in processes of reusing liquid, preferably radioactive waste. Polymeric hydrogel contains radiochemically cross-linked polymer, immobilized therein water-soluble crown ether selected from dicyclohexane-substituted crown ethers, and water. Preparation thereof consists in preparing aqueous solution containing 1 to 50% polymer and 1 to 15% crown ether followed by gelation achieved by radiochemical cross-linking of polymer.
EFFECT: imparted resistance to washing-out of crown ether and high selectivity in metal cation binding.
