FIELD: recovery of radioactive wastes.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method for decontaminating low-activity solutions containing radionuclides includes passage of this solution to membrane filter apparatus provided with cermet membranes, accumulation and further treatment of concentrate, drainage and afterpurification of filtrate by sorption. Use is made of flat-frame membrane apparatus whereto solution is tangentially conveyed and circulates therein. Accumulated concentrate suspension is subjected to heat treatment in two steps; during first step it is heated to 120 - 180 °C until concentration of suspended matter is brought to 150 - 300 g/l. Second stage involves concentrate suspension heating to 250 - 300 °C until residual moisture content of concentrate is brought to maximum 5 mass percent. Filtrate afterpurification by sorption is conducted by passing it through highly basic anion-exchange resin.

EFFECT: minimized amount of secondary wastes.
