FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: water treatment system has a battery which is recharged by a hand generator, avoiding the need for an external source of energy. The water treatment system uses a rechargeable battery to power a pump and a UV lamb. After water passes through the filter, the UV lamp treats water pumped by the pump through the device. The system can have a flashlight also powered by the rechargeable battery.

EFFECT: smaller size of the system with sufficient degree of purification of water, avoiding the need for an external source of energy for operation of the pump, UV lamp and flashlight.
