FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operation of a battery with running electrolyte, in particular, to control systems, monitoring, charging and/or discharging of a running electrolyte battery. The control system in a separate package from the running electrolyte battery comprises a stack controller for interconnection with at least one of the battery cell packages, an input sensor associated with the package controller for providing operational status information, the at least one battery cell package and facilities for generating a control signal associated with the package controller for individually controlling a state of charging. In this stack controller there is a bidirectional DC-DC converter for supplying a charging current to at least one rechargeable battery cell package for providing to at least one package of rechargeable battery cells for a load.
EFFECT: improved performance capabilities of the device.
