FIELD: underwater lamps.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a lamp for use under water, in particular in the sea, and to the use of such a lamp as a light bait when fishing. A lamp for underwater use comprises an electrical lighting means, electrical connections for supplying power to the electrical lighting means, and a housing. The housing is translucent in at least sections and forms a mechanical envelope surrounding the electrical lighting means and electrical connections. The mechanical casing has a double curvature at each point of the mechanical casing and consists of two parts, which are formed by connected housing parts. Each of the two body parts contains a connecting flange. In this case, the two connecting flanges are connected to each other. Moreover, at least one of the housing parts contains mechanical ribs that start from the connecting flange of at least one of the body parts and converge dome-like at the top of the corresponding housing part.
EFFECT: technical result achieved in this case is to create a lamp that can be used and will work at great depths.
