FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of machine building and may be used for combined finishing treatment by cutting and surface plastic deformation of spiroid worms, which form spiroid gear with coupled spiroid wheel. Rotary motion is imparted to processed spiroid worm. Forced rotary motion and long feed is imparted to combined needle-mill-strengthening tool. Combined needle-mill-strengthening tool is used, arranged in the form of disk with long holes, at the end of which there is an annular turn with working outer side surface, having profile in the form of tooth and radial slots. On working outer side surface of annular turn there are alternating cutting elements arranged in the form of wires and strengthening deforming elements. Strengthening deforming elements are made of wire, are fixed in long holes of disk, are arranged in radial slots of annular turn and are arranged in the form of tooth of spiroid wheel coupled with spiroid worm when forming spiroid gear. Annular turn is arranged with thickness of tooth profile that provides for its free location in groove between teeth of processed spiroid worm.
EFFECT: invention increases hardness of processed surface, improves quality of treatment and better efficiency of treatment.
