FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: combined method for needle milling of screws with semi-open surface, in which independent rotation relative to axis is imparted to end needle milling cutter with central axis installed perpendicular to peripheral surface of processed turn, and rotary motion is imparted to screw billet, which is coordinated with longitudinal feed of needle milling cutter, equal to pitch of processed screw, and cutting feed is sent to every longitudinal pass of needle milling cutter. At that end needle milling cutter is used, which comprises body, in slots of which cutting elements are installed alternately in the form of wire nap bundles and strengthening elements in the form of profile turns of wire spring.
EFFECT: expansion of technological resources, higher capacity, improved quality of tool processing and resistance.
