SUBSTANCE: device is intended for being used in compressor building industry for compression of cooling agent in cooling device. Drive for linear compressor includes frame (21, 29, 30) and oscillating body (24, 10) provided in frame (21, 29, 30) by means of at least one spring membrane (8) with possibility of back-and-forth movement in certain direction; at that, spring membrane (8) has several branches (14) acting with one of its ends on frame (21, 29, 30), and with the other one - on oscillating body (24), to each of which return spring (31) corresponds and which resists the deformation of branch (14) in linear direction of movement of the oscillating body.
