FIELD: compressors for machines requiring high purity of compressed gas. SUBSTANCE: piston is installed in cylinder in a spaced relation. Its side surface is made in the form of static-gas mount which is fed through throttling holes from piston cavity communicating with cylinder compression chamber through check valve. Some of throttling holes are closed with spring-loaded member whose spring is made in the form of flexible diaphragm secured in piston body. Flexible diaphragm may have lugs whose number equals that of closed throttling holes; spring-loaded member may be made in the form of segments fixed on ends of lugs of flexible diaphragm. It ensures practically simultaneous shut-off of throttling holes thereby facilitating prediction of flowrate through throttles. EFFECT: reduced total consumption for piston centering with throttles closed. 2 cl, 1 dwg
