FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: fixing thread is intended for stitching of reinforcing fibers in process of fiber stock formation used for manufacturing of composite component reinforced with fibers by means of impregnation with hardened polymer material. Fixing thread has border surface from thermoplastic polymer material, which provides for local increase of plasticity in matrix from hardened polymer material in areas of fixing thread passage. Fixing thread is equipped with at least one rod thread produced by multiple elementary threads from carbon fibers. Besides border surface is produced by shell, which encloses at least one rod thread. Besides application of fixing thread is also suggested for stitching of reinforcing fibers in process of fiber stock formation.
EFFECT: inventions provide for reduction in trend of microcracks development in finished composite component in areas of fixing threads passage.
