SUBSTANCE: exciting signal (Ua(t)) of specified value or specified shape is sent to the first piezoelectric element (1) or the first polarised zone (2) of piezoelectric element (1) of ultrasonic flow metre. Response signal (Ua(t)) of actual value or shape that corresponds to specified value or specified shape is perceived by the second piezoelectric element or the second polarised zone (4) of piezoelectric element (1). Actual value or shape of response signal (Ua(t)) and its specified value or specified shape are compared to each other, and in case of their variance exciting signal (Ua(t)) is modified so that actual value or actual shape of ultrasonic measurement signal sent by the first piezoelectric element (1) or the first zone (2) of piezoelectric element (1) equals specified value or specified shape of response signal (Ua(t)). With the help of ultrasonic measurement signal described by certain specified value or specified shape, by method of sound distribution, parametre of process medium is defined in pipeline or reservoir.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of measurement due to provision of optimal signal-noise ratio.
