FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a microcontroller and a method for determining flow rate using an electronic processing unit of an ultrasonic flow meter, based on measurement of transit time, with signals of arbitrary shape. Electronic processing unit comprises receiving and transmitting leads, a signal processing unit and a signal generating unit which is configured to generate an oscillatory electrical output signal with a time-dependent amplitude, wherein the time-dependent amplitude varies in accordance with the stored signal parameters. Main feature of the invention is the use of digital filtering using a time-reversed acoustic signal, which eliminates the need for a DAC with an analogue part, which can be replaced by a pulse generator.
EFFECT: simplification of electronics with increased accuracy and reduced power consumption.
