FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of calculating total driving interruption time associated with a transportation vehicle driver identifier (10), where the total driving interruption time (Σti) of a specified driver is calculated as the corresponding accumulated time of interruptions (ti2, ti4, ti5) during driving. This frequent process is related to large expenses and requires a lot of time, in particular if the process is initiated, for instance by putting a data carrier on a card into a new generation tachograph. To shorten calculation time, the invention proposes to install a constantly refreshed time reference mark in previous records, and based on the said reference mark, the accumulated time (Σti) of driving interruptions can be calculated in a positive time sequence in accordance with the standard EG-VO Nr. 1360/2002.
