FIELD: radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: antenna is a two-wire spiral wound on dielectric housing in the form of four-sided pyramid with flattened vertex and high ratio of the housing base sides of not less than 7:1. Spiral is excited at pyramid vertex with balance-to-unbalance transformer. At the housing bottom before metal screen there installed is radar absorbent layer. Small size of antenna is related to application of material of certain dielectric permeability, ε=2÷10, for manufacture of housing.

EFFECT: enlarging frequency band, formation of directional patterns and low level of rear lobe.
