FIELD: antenna technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna technology, namely to spiral antennas operating in the range of ultrahigh (UHF) and superhigh (microwave) frequencies as part of antenna systems for various purposes. The antenna contains a combined two-way spiral consisting of connected flat and hemispherical spirals, a dielectric housing with a hemispherical spiral placed on it, a matching symmetrical transformer and metal reflectors of a flat and hemispherical spirals with rings of radio-absorbing materials mounted on them. The dielectric housing is made in the form of a set of flat annular layers lying coaxially on top of each other, and the dielectric permittivity (ε) of the material of the layers increases as it approaches from the flat spiral to the lower radio-absorbing ring and to the reflector of the hemispherical spiral.
EFFECT: increase in the gain in the lower part of the operating frequency range and extension of the antenna ranges to lower frequencies.
