FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: receiver is connected to the receiving side of an antenna array and consists of N antenna elements for receiving at least M different sums from M source signals, where N is less than M. A signal division processor is connected to the receiver for generating a mixing matrix which contains at least M different sums from M source signals such that the mixing matrix has a rank at least equal to M. The signal division processor separates useful source signals from the mixing matrix.
EFFECT: reduced number of antenna elements in the receiver of a multiple-input and multiple-output system compared to the number of antenna elements in a MIMO system transmitter and retention of reliability of a MIMO communication system.
