FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: communication system includes multiple mobile wireless communication devices which simultaneously transmit to a fixed receiver unit. Each mobile wireless communication device transmits a source signal defined by a corresponding set of symbols which contains multiple symbols. At least one of the symbols in the corresponding sets of symbols is transmitted with a different power level so that the transmitted source signal from each mobile wireless communication device appears in time periods with linearly independent power levels. Time periods with linearly independent power levels are used by the fixed antenna unit to populate a composite matrix for processing signal separation.

EFFECT: high degree of picking up useful signals.
