METHOD OF CONSERVATIVE TREATMENT OF CLUBFOOT IN CHILDREN FROM FIRST DAYS OF LIFE Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B17/56 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to children orthopedics and can be applied in conservative treatment of clubfoot in children from first days of life. Essence of method lies in normalisation of relations in Lisfranc's joint by bringing first cuneiform bone to the level of navicular bone, Chopart's joint by rolling navicular bone on head of astragaloid bone. After that performed are: turn of astragaloid bone head from external position inside; abduction of foot with respect to ankle joint fork outwards, at which fibular bone is abducted from position of internal torsion into medial by body of astragaloid bone; delivering heel bone from varus position into medial at the level of subtalat joint by manual bringing it under base of astragaloid bone; elimination of equinus after complete restoration of relations in ankle joint by giving foot position of maximal dorsal flexion. Knee joint is kept in position of bending at angle 150 degrees and internal rotation up to 40 degrees, foot being kept in position of abduction at 40 degrees with respect to shin axis. Obtained position is fixed with circular plaster bandage up to upper third of thigh.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention allows to solve problem of complete correction of equinocavovarus foot deformity with elimination of internal torsion of shin bones, create correct relation at the level of Lisfranc's, Chopart's, subtalat and ankle joints.
