SUBSTANCE: actuating mechanism to be applied in a drug introduction device comprises a piston rod, a screw shaft, a dosing scale, an internal cylinder and a piston rod holder. The noncircular piston rod is hollow. The rod is blocked against rotation. The screw shaft is geared with a piston rod. The dosing scale rotates to a proximal end while setting the dose and rotates to a distal end while delivering the dose. The internal cylinder is detachably connected with the dosing scale so that the rotation of the dosing scale about the internal cylinder is blocked while setting the dose, but allowed while delivering the dose. The holder of the piston rod blocks it against travelling to the proximal end while setting the dose, but allows travelling of the piston rod to the distal end while delivering the dose.

EFFECT: invention allows slacking the actuating effort required for drug introduction, particularly for introduction of the large doses with maintaining a compact design to improve a manipulation by the user and gives the aids for intuitively clear, safe and convenient correction of the set dose.
