SUBSTANCE: mechanism for moving drum segments of uncoiler includes device for transmitting the rotation to segments movement elements, which is kinematically connected by means of spindle assembly to rotation drive. At that, rotation transmission device is made in the form of bevel gear the input shaft of which is connected to spindle assembly, and outlet assemblies are connected to inputs of screw gears by means of gear clutches the casings of which are made in inner borings of output gearbox gears.

EFFECT: wide variation range of drum diametre owing to structural peculiarities, which is required when supplying to the rolling mill line the rolls obtained on convolution machines and differing by not very high quality, reliable kinematic connection of drum to the rolls clamping hydraulic cylinder.
