FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device includes drive drum with the segments installed with possibility of being moved in radial direction by means of drive elements. Drum is equipped with a face plate on which there made are radial guide slots interacting with guides of the segments, and drive elements are made in the form of screw gears, and the upper ends of screws of which are arranged in bearing supports from two thrust spherical roller bearings located on opposite sides of cylindrical shoulder made in each screw and mounted in the housings fixed on face plate. Lower ends of screws are kinematically connected to rotation transmission assembly, and nuts of screw gears are installed in segments and fixed in relation to them from axial offset.

EFFECT: wide variation range of drum diametre, which is required when supplying to the rolling mill line the rolls produced on convolution machines and differing by not very high quality.
