FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: to metal plate surface with reflecting capacity of not less than 0.65 there applied is flux charge powder layer consisting of mixture of non-metal and metal components with fraction size of not more than 0.315 mm. Thickness of layer is enough for penetration of not less than 90% of powder layer. Then flux charge powder is influenced with flow of light energy in the form of light beam with emission wavelength of more than 0.56 mcm. Influence is performed with density of radiation power and during the time, which are enough for melting of non-metal flux components, and with longitudinal movement velocity of light beam relative to the treated powder of 0.01-20.0 cm/s. After that molten metal drops are cooled on metal plate surface in gas medium so that granules are formed.
EFFECT: increasing strength of granules, and granules are free from oxidated metal components.
