FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the method of desulphurization of heavy benzene of catalytic cracking to produce petrol with lowered end boiling point and implying contacting heavy benzene of catalytic cracking and hydrogen with a desulphurization catalyst added, whereat which there is a reaction of a portion of organic sulphur compounds found in heavy benzene and hydrogen to produce H2S; separation of heavy benzene by distillation to light and heavy fractions; separation of light fraction as overheads; separation of heavy fraction as a bottom product and contacting heavy fraction and hydrogen with the hydrodesulphurization catalyst added whereat there is a reaction of a portion of organic sulphur compounds containing in this fraction and hydrogen to produce H2S; separation of this heavy fraction by distillation to the second light and the second heavy fractions; separation of the second light fraction as overheads; separation of the second heavy fraction as a bottom product; combination of the portion of the second heavy fraction and the second light fraction to produce a fraction with end boiling point 95 vol. % according to the standard ASTM D-86 higher than that of light fraction, and lower than that according to the standard ASTM D-86 95 vol. % of heavy fraction.

EFFECT: sulphur transformation to hydrogen sulphide recovered from the catalytic zones with minimising formation of recombinant mercaptans and reducing hydrogenation of olefins.
