SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to a ruggedised liquid crystal screen. The ruggedised liquid crystal screen consists of a liquid crystal cell (LCC), an illumination unit, a control unit and a ruggedising unit. The ruggedising unit is made in form of a flat holder consisting of a frame with built-in heaters, temperature sensors and electrical leads and two transparent walls on the surface of which there are optical temperature control and protective elements. The LCC is mounted between walls using a transparent compound. The LCC and the temperature control elements are connected to the control unit through electrical leads. The illumination unit with a light source is mounted on the rear surface of the holder.

EFFECT: invention aims to widen functional capabilities, combining the ruggedising process and improving operational characteristics of the device.
