FIELD: physics, image processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining a coloured coating from exposure to UV light or high-energy beams in the absence of a developer. A method for permanent colouring a coating composition which contains a colouring agent is proposed. The method comprises the following steps a) preparation of a composition consisting of UV-curable resin, thermosetting resin or alkyd resin; b) mixing the coating composition with the colouring agent without formation of a dye; c) deposition of a colourless composition prepared at step b) onto a substrate; d) hardening the resin in case of a thermosetting resin at temperature ranging from 100 to 300°C without formation of a dye; drying the resin at room temperature in case of an alkyd resin without formation of a dye; e) exposure to UV- or high-energy beams with wavelength less than 400 nm with formation of a dye.
EFFECT: method simplifies existing techniques by avoiding the need to use a developer in UV-curing conditions to form a dye.
