FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment and air conditioning equipment and can be used for electric air ionisation, purification and sterilisation for prevention and treatment of diseases in the household, industrial and hospital conditions. An air ioniser comprises a general power network and an ionising electrode. Besides the air ioniser contains a capacitance-diode multiplier unit which is wired to the general power network. The ionising electrode is made of a copper wire used to make a closed insulated circuit along the perimetre of the room wherein air is ionised. The copper wire is connected to the capacitance-diode multiplier unit and fixed on walls or a ceiling through insulators of resistance 1000 MOhm and more. The capacitance-diode multiplier unit consists of eight series capacitance-diode multipliers with a voltage controller on an input.

EFFECT: uniform ionisation in the room of any area, improved quality of air purification.
