FIELD: physics, communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of properties of various processes, in particular to control of optimal signal detectors and methods of determining and setting up detection threshold values. In a known method, according to which changes in signals at the output of non-inertia indicators of non-information parametres of the output signal which are stochastically associated with changes in its information parametres, are detected in an observation interval. A new detection threshold value is set at the moment when the said changes are detected. Changes in signals at the output of non-inertia indicators of non-information parametres are successively detected in defined order and the new detection threshold value is set at the moment the last change is detected.

EFFECT: more accurate detection of changes in information parametres of signals in interference conditions.
