SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering. The preferred roaming list (PRL) contains records for systems and connections for wireless wide area network (WWAN) systems and a wireless local area network (WLAN). Connection information for WLAN systems is stored in new records for systems and connections. Encryption and/or authentication information for WLAN systems is stored in a separate table for WLAN authentication profiles. System records for the WLAN system indicate the connection record and profile record that WLAN system. The network identifier table contains system records and profile records for the WLAN systems. System records contain information used for selecting and connecting the WLAN system. Profile records contain encryption and/or authentication information for WLAN systems.
EFFECT: possibility of selecting and connecting WWLAN and WLAN systems.
