SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, pulmonology, general therapy, in particular to methods of evaluating fat malabsorption in patients with chronic obstructive lung disease. Day excretion of fat is determined by Kamer method, additionally concentration of blood serum leptin is determined, coefficient of fat absorption is calculated by formula: CFA=L/R, where L is index of serum leptin concentration, in ng/ml, R - index of day fecal fat excretion, in grams, and if coefficient value equals from 5.8 to 6.0 absence of fat malabsorbtion is diagnosed, is coefficient value equals from 2.7 to 3.0 - moderate degree of fat malabsorption is diagnosed, if coefficient value is from 0.7 to 0.6 and lower expressed degree of fat malabsorption is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method ensures increase of accuracy and clinical self-descriptiveness of evaluation.
