SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, pulmonology, general therapy, namely to methods of methods of evaluating degree of severity of trophological insufficiency in patients with chronic obstructive lung disease. Index of real body weight is determined, analysis of blood serum leptin concentration is performed and coefficient of trophological status (CTS) is calculated by formula: CTS=W/L, where W is body weight, in kg, L is index of blood serum leptin concentration, in ng/ml. If coefficient equals from 4 to 5 absence of trophological insufficiency is diagnosed, if coefficient equals from 6 to 7 moderate degree of trophological insufficiency is diagnosed, if coefficient value is from 14 to 18 and higher expressed degree of trophological insufficiency is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method ensures increase of accuracy and clinical self-descriptiveness.
