FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: proposed element comprises porous polymer with density not exceeding 40 kg/m3 formed by extrusion of solid continuous mass of foamed polymer mix in direction of extrusion. Porous polymer has elastic limit equal to deformation of 3 to 10% and anisotropic characteristics represented by relationships CE/CT, CV/CT and CH/CT, where at least one of the latter CE/CT, CV/CT and CH/CT equals 0.40 to 0.80, where CE, CV and CH are ultimate strength of foamed material at compression in each orthogonal directions E, V and H, respectively, while CT is the sum of CE, CV and CH. Direction E represents extrusion direction and at least one of CV/CT and CH/CT relationships exceeds CE/CT. Direction V represents direction of vertical foaming of porous polymer after its extrusion and CV/CT equals at least 0.50.

EFFECT: higher-efficiency absorbing element in operation at dynamic impact loads.
