FIBRE-REINFORCEMENT OF FOAM MATERIALS, CONSISTING OF INTERCONNECTED SEGMENTS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B29C65/62 B29C65/72 B29C44/56 C08J9/36

Abstract RU 2705089 C2

FIELD: plastic processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a moulded article from foam plastic. Technical result is achieved in moulded product from foam plastic, in which foam plastic includes connected to each other foam plastic segments. At that, one section of at least one fibre is located inside the moulded article and is surrounded by foam plastic, while the other portion of the fibre protrudes from the first side of the moulded article, and the third portion of the fibre extends outward from the second side of the moulded article. Fibres are partially introduced into the foam plastic by a method which includes step a) applying the layer (S2) onto one side of the foam plastic. Step b) comprises making a hole for the fibre in the foam plastic and in the layer (S2). Hole extends from the first side of the foam plastic to its second side and through the layer (S2). Step c) is to provide fibre on the second side of the foam plastic. Step d) is passing the needle through the hole from the first side of the foam plastic to its second side and through the layer (S2). Stage e) is attachment of fibre to needle on second side of foam plastic. And stage f) - return of needle together with fibre through hole. Stage f) is performed so that one fibre section is located inside the moulded article and is surrounded by foam plastic, while the second fibre section protrudes from the first side of the moulded article or from the layer (S2), and the third portion of the fibre protrudes from the second side moulded article.

EFFECT: technical result is high strength of article and reduced weight.
