FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to appliance assisting in walking for the patients or people with the limited motor abilities. A device has orthopaedic strips attached to a load transfer unit through the first joints. Each orthopaedic strip can be bent and stretched on the second joint in the middle of an orthopaedic strip and has such length that it is bent by the second joint projecting with regard to a reference line even if the user stands upright. The reference line is defined as a line connecting a forward/backward motion support point of the orthopaedic strip with the third joint in the lower end of the orthopaedic strip, thereby increasing stability by reducing a moment towards bend forward in the orthopaedic strip when the user stands upright. Each orthopaedic strip provides an overhanging piece which projects from the side opposite to the second joint (5) forward/backwards with respect to the reference line. The driven source for the second joint is mounted on the overhanging piece to maintain good weight balance between the forward and backward direction of the reference line. The drive force of the driven source is transferred to the second joint through a drive force transmission.
EFFECT: device facilitates walking and improves its stability.
