SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment and can be used as an assistant for walking-impaired or elderly patients. A device for facilitating walking comprises a straddle seat; and a supporting structure which is mounted on a lower face of the seat. Also, the device for facilitating walking accommodates a connection point which is used to attach the seat to the supporting structure so that the seat is turnable transversely about a spindle located in the middle of the seat whereto the user contacts, in relation to front-to-back.
EFFECT: enhanced ease of use ensured by lower resistance force applied by the seat to the user when rocking a hip joint while walking.
