FIELD: medicine, fire fighting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: fire-resistant devices are installed on pipes to release combustible gases in atmosphere or on a torch, or in front of burners, and also for flame ingress protection of oil tanks; besides they started to be commonly used for protection of process apparatuses in chemical industry. In a dry fire-resistant device, comprising a body accommodating a base and a cover with a fire-resistant cartridge element in-between; said base and cover are interconnected by at least three fastening elements, and the cover and the base represent bearing flanges connected to truncated cones extending to an attachment point, and the fire-resistant cartridge is mounted on a retaining grid represented by orthogonally related rods provided in the upper part of the base in parallel to the bearing flanges, and attached to the base and the cover by two elastic tapes are pulled together by the fastening elements. The cartridge represents a package of spaced plane-parallel metal plates.

EFFECT: higher effectiveness of fire extinguishment.
