FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method intended for grinding one of the components of low-temperature ballistic gunpowder, i.e. γ-polyoximethylene. Proposed method comprises preparing γ-polyoximethylene suspension and grinding γ-polyoximethylene. Water suspension with concentration of 10 to 15 percent by weight and mean grain size of 6 to 20 mcm is prepared in mixer and pump-fed into vibro-cavitation mill to circulation to be performed as follows: mixer - peristaltic pump - vibro-cavitation mill - mixer, the process being continued to produce particle mean-weight grain size at the level of 3 mcm and process duration, τ, h, is defined by the formula; τ=7.03·lnd-7.19, where τ is grinding duration, h, d is mean-weight grain size of initial, mcm.
EFFECT: possibility to produce particle mean-weight grain size about 3 mcm and to determine process duration.
