FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to method of obtaining highly dispersive γ-polyoxymethylene, used as component of low-temperature ballistite powders. Method lies in polymerisation of trioxane in tetrachloromethane medium in presence of methanol, oleum and stearic acid in amount 1.0-1.5 % of trioxane weight. Polimerisation is carried out in reactor, equipped with impeller mixer, with its rotation rate 600…800 rev/min, polimerisation temperature 45°C and 6 hours duration.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain highly dispersive γ-polyoxymethylene with average particle size not larger than 15 mcm, as well as to reduce energy consumption due to reduction of polymerisation temperature.
