FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of making ophthamologic lenses made from silicon hydrogel, and specifically to methods and systems for extracting components from ophthamologic lenses and extracting lenses from parts of the mould. The technical result is achieved using a method of extracting an ophthalmologic lens which contains silicon from part of the mould, which involves treatment of the lens with a first aqueous solution containing approximately 4% or more of 2-pentanol and heating the said first aqueous solution.
EFFECT: design of a method of making contact lenses based on silicon hydrogel, in which a small amount or no organic solvent is required, which enables to avoid use of combustible agents and which ensures efficient extraction of lenses from the mould and in which NKR are removed from the lens.
