FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: silicone hydrogel is proposed, formed from a reaction mixture comprising (a) 37-70 wt % of a monomer selected from N-vinyl amide, vinyl pyrrolidone and N-vinylpiperidone, (b) mono(meth) acryl oxyalkyl polydialkyl siloxane or styryl polydialkyl siloxane, (c) hydroxyalkyl(meth)acrylate or (meth)acrylamide or styryl compound, and (d) at least one crosslinking monomer, wherein the molar ratio of (a) to (c) is 0.15-0.4.
EFFECT: proposed silicone hydrogel allows to obtain soft contact lenses with excellent wettability and transparency.
