SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, namely to automotive axle with variable gear ration wheel gearbox. Load bearing housing of axle half shaft with wheel gearbox is produced with enlarged diametre. Half shaft hole displaces upward to make half shaft gear interacting with hub gear. Inside said displaced hole double-sided cup is fitted to make half shaft thrust bearing seat. Bearing inner side rests on housing ledge while bearing outer side is locked by retaining ring in housing groove. Bearing inner side thrusts against the ledge that doubles as double-sided cup race, while bearing outer side is locked by circular retainer fitted in half-axle groove.
