FIELD: nanotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used to produce photon-crystalline materials from silica nanoparticles. From alcohol suspension of monodisperse spherical silica particles produced by method of tetraethoxysilane, monodisperse spherical silica particles are deposited by sedimentation or centrifugation, and then alcohol medium is removed. Sediment of monodisperse spherical silica particles is dispersed in dimethyl sulfoxide in volume ratio of 1:1. Produced secondary suspension with isopropyl alcohol introduced in it in amount of 0.25-0.5 from suspension volume is applied onto surface of solid substrate in the form of film.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to produce photon-crystalline opal films of high quality.
