FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method is implemented through hydrolysis of a colloidal suspension from a tetraether of ortho-silicic acid in an organic solvent - ethanol in the presence of a catalyst - ammonia, in which the tetraether of ortho-silicic acid is preheated at temperature 350-420 K for 150-240 minutes with ratio of the latter to 25% ammonia between 2:1 and 1.2:1.
EFFECT: high beam strength o the optical medium.
