FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: there are forged beads fabricated out of tungsten powder produced out of blue tungsten oxide WO2.9. Upon forging re-crystallisation annealing is performed and successive multi-pass drawing of wire. It is carried out first at a chain mill in 4 passes and further at block mill without intermediate re-crystallisation annealing. Re-crystallisation annealing is done before drawing to diametre of finished wire.
EFFECT: production of tungsten wire with required mechanical and structure characteristics; high percent of accepted product at shortened process.
