FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing copper wire. Wire rod is produced and several stages of multipass cold drawing are carried out, separated by intermediate annealing. Multipass cold drawing is performed in at least two stages. Degree of accumulated deformation at each stage is set in range of 60–90%. Intermediate annealing temperatures are set in accordance with the expression: Tannealing = 200−0.3·ε, where Tannealing is annealing temperature in degrees Celsius, ε is the accumulated relative deformation for the pre-annealing stage of multipass drawing in percentage.
EFFECT: higher ductility.
