FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to woodworking industry. Method includes feeding log/timber to zone of processing, automatic positioning of log/timber, treatment of ring slots, drilling, treatment of slots, end sawing. Prior to feeding of log/timber into zone of treatment, one basic end is treated. Treatment of slots is carried out at several positions simultaneously with according tools, besides movement of logs/timber from position to position is carried out in longitudinal direction. Positioning of log/timber at each position is carried out as follows: in longitudinal direction - relative to longitudinal base, and in transverse position - relative to one end base, common for all positions, after treatment log/timber is cut by end saws into separate parts.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of log treatment process.
