FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Higher-friction differential comprises engine (11), transmission (16), differential mechanism that can used to distribute engine torque between transmission of one of pairs (LH and RH) front wheels (12a, 12b) and rear (LH and RH) wheels (15), transfer mechanism located closer to vehicle center than said differential mechanism in crosswise direction relative to lengthwise direction (i.e. from left to right), and distribution regulator (10) that can be used to control the amount of distributed torque. Differential mechanism (17) is located on first side of transfer mechanism. Distribution regulator (10) is arranged on second, opposite, side of transfer mechanism and comprises clutch mechanism to be used for limiting differential action between one of drive shafts and output shaft.

EFFECT: distribution regulator can be incorporated with vehicle differential without increasing its sizes.
