FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water transport, in particular to surface and subwater vehicles and can be used in controlled surface and subwater research facilities and torpedoes. Proposed water propeller comprises drive shaft, propeller hub with fairing and flat L-section blades secured to said hub at an angle to its lengthwise axis and unitormly spaced on along hub surface. Propeller blade flat part has, on its one or both sides, a crosswise open cutout with its smaller width located on part adjoining the hub and its larger width part is located at a distance from the hub. Blade cutout is directed towards vehicle hull boss with its cross section mating that of said recesses on propeller blades distributed and secured in at least one crosswise line relative to propeller hub on its outer surface along spiral line running from the first to the last blade of every blades line towards the fairing. First blades of every line are located in one lengthwise plane, while blades height in every subsequent line exceeds that of previous line. Platform of every blade is formed by curvilinear surfaces converging on blade rounded free end.
EFFECT: reduced air drag, higher engine efficiency.
