FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: condensate tapper consists of vertical case with lengthwise ribs on internal surface and of tangential inlet and outlet branches for gas or steam. The branches are arranged in the upper part of the case. In the bottom of the case the condensate tapper is equipped with the branch for condensate tapping. Further, the condensate tapper consists of a conic float placed in the case; with its cone the float interacts with the inlet branch for gas or steam; with its lower end the float interacts with a stepped decreasing rod equipped with the branch for condensate tapping, whereon there is installed a bi-metal bushing with radial slots. Curvilinear grooves are arranged on internal surface of the radial slots. Also the curvilinear grooves are arranged lengthwise from an upper to lower apertures of the bushing. Notably, a guiding line of lengthwise curvilinear grooves on internal surface of the outlet branch is directed clockwise, while the guiding line of the lengthwise grooves on external conic surface of the float is directed counter clockwise.
EFFECT: improved operation of condensate tapper by means of reduced heat losses due to elimination of steam or gas bubbles in condensate causing loss of heat at outlet from heat consuming installations.
