FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for withdrawing condensate from vapour-consuming equipment. Condensate withdrawing device comprises a vertical housing with mounted in its upper part tangential inlet connection pipe for gas-and-vapour-containing condensate, outlet connection pipe for gas or vapour removal and outlet connection pipe for the condensate removal. It is fitted with a hollow cylinder from porous hydrophobic material which is set in the inner housing cavity so that annular space is present between the inner housing wall and the outer cylinder surface. A funnel is mounted under the hollow cylinder, it is equipped with a nozzle and vertical plates for the condensate rotation suppression which are set on its inner tapered surface. The outlet connection pipe for the condensate withdrawal is located in the housing at the level of the funnel tapered part. Porous ceramics which is hydrophobisated by, for example, organic silicon compound is chosen as the porous hydrophobic material. Additionally the hollow cylinder bottom is fitted with a nozzle placed inside the funnel with the nozzle connected to it in order to prevent secondary removal of drops from the hollow cylinder inner volume.
EFFECT: increasing operational reliability of the condensate withdrawing device due to designing a device for the separation of vapour and gas from the condensate which is free from moving parts.
