FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: acousto-electronic devices are designed for converting angular velocity of rotation of objects into an electric signal. The devices can be used in systems for navigation, orientation and controlling mobile objects. The gyroscope has a piezoelectric plate 1, on one side of which there is regular structure 2 of inertial masses, an active interdigital transducer (AIT) 3 with a reflecting structure 4, which generate surface acoustic waves in one direction and perpendicularly lying measuring interdigital transducers 5 and 6 of the total field of surface acoustic waves from the regular structure of the inertial masses which consists of diffraction and signal fields from Coriolis forces of the surface acoustic waves. Opposite the active interdigital tranducer after the regular structure of the inertial masses on the piezoelectric plate there is a layer 7 of surface acoustic wave absorbing material which has coefficient of reflection of the given surface acoustic wave close to zero, which is made in form of a wedge the apex of which is directed towards the regular structure of the inertial masses 2.
EFFECT: increased manufacturability and efficiency.
